Papageno Hotel *** ViennaWiedner Hauptstraße 23-251040 The name of our hotel reminds you of Papageno, the bird-like creature in W. A. Mozart's musical wonder "The Magic Flute": more than 210 years ago the operatic masterpiece was first performed in the long gone legendary "Freihaus-Theater on the Wieden", which was near to today's hotel. The house, which was built in the twenties of the last century, has late Art Nouveau and Art Deco elements, which also give the hotel its character. The rooms are spread over different floors in the building, in which doctors, lawyers, tax consultants, insurance companies and other companies also have their offices. This gives the hotel its typically Viennese atmosphere. 1985 the hotel passed into the hands of the present owner, who also gave the hotel the name it bears today.
